Nancy Marthaler

Nancy M. Marthaler, age 58 of Woodbury and formerly of Sauk Centre passed away surrounded by her family July 10, 2018 in HealthEast Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, Minnesota.

A private family service will be held for Nancy. Inurnment will be held in Saint Paul's Cemetery in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Nancy Marie Marthaler, daughter of Lawrence B. and Loretta H. (Tiemann) Marthaler was born June 21, 1960 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. She grew up in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. Nancy attended Holy Family Catholic School and graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1979. Following graduation, Nancy worked as a nurse's assistant in the St. Michael Hospital in Sauk Centre. After some severe health issues, Nancy made her home in Two Collingwoods in Woodbury for more than 25 years. She enjoyed living in Woodbury and quickly became well-loved by staff and other residents. She loved art and craft projects and for the last several years enjoyed the painting classes she was able to participate in. Going out to dinner, shopping - especially at Walmart, and trips to Como Zoo or out with friends made her happy. Nancy enjoyed patio gardening outside her room and worked in the Community Gardens too. Perhaps her greatest passion was for her special porcelain doll collection that was prominently displayed over her bed and on her bedside stands, and she also had a great love for stuffed animals of all sizes!

Nancy is survived by her siblings, Robert (Bernice) Marthaler of Pipestone, Virgil (Rosemary) Marthaler of Sauk Centre, Larry Marthaler (Kathy Funk) of Sauk Centre, Richard (Vicki) Marthaler of Clarkfield, Roseanne (Roger) Schaefer of Sauk Centre, David (Tamara) Marthaler of Sauk Centre, and Mary (Daniel) Borgerding of Sauk Centre and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence B. and Loretta H. Marthaler and a nephew, Dan Marthaler.
