Myra A. Wolfe, age 94 of Sauk Centre, died on Sunday, May 23, 2004 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 29 at the United Methodist Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate with interment following in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service.
Myra Wolfe was born on October 2, 1909 in Flasher, North Dakota to Marvin and Alvine (Judes) Taylor. On July 3, 1929 she was united in marriage to Elwin E. Wolfe in Buffalo, Minnesota. The couple resided in Minneapolis until 1967, when they moved back to Sauk Centre. For the past five years, Myra had resided at St. Michael's Nursing Home. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Sauk Centre Seniors, lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Sauk Centre Area Historical Society. She enjoyed gardening very much.
Survivors include three children, Marvin Wolfe and Merlyn (Albert) Van Way, both of Sauk Centre and Lawrence (Ilze) Wolfe of Edina; four grandchildren, Rhoda Nelson of St. Cloud, Linda Lee Selph of Memphis, Tennessee, Albert (Carla) Van Way, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri and Michael (Lee) Wolfe of St. Paul; eleven great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; brother-in-law, William Smithson of Kansas City, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elwin on May 20, 1984; infant son, Elwin; sister, Leota Smithson.
