Myra G. Bodeker, age 71 of Sauk Centre, died Thursday, April 24, 2003 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 28 at the United Methodist Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate with interment following in Greenwood Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Sauk Centre United Auxiliaries will pray at 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home in Sauk Centre.

Myra Bodeker was born on June 9, 1931 in Heron Lake, Minnesota to Howard and Anna (Svalland) Tollifson. She was united in marriage to Wayne Bodeker on February 13, 1947 in Milbank, South Dakota. After their marriage, the couple resided in Glenwood and moved to Sauk Centre in 1952. She was a relay driver for the Minneapolis Star Tribune and then worked in the lunchroom for Sauk Centre Public Schools for a number of years. She co-operated Bodeker Trucking with her husband and they leased to numerous companies over their careers. She was a member of Sauk Centre United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 67 Auxiliary.She was a loving mom and a dedicated grandmother.

Survivors include five children, Janet (Leon) Trattles of Annandale, Darrell (Cindy) Bodeker of Sauk Centre, Dean (Carla) Bodeker of Melrose, David (Barb) Bodeker of Sauk Centre, Denise Bodeker of Farmville, North Carolina; son-in-law, Romaine Joarnt of Sauk Centre; step-daughter, Bonny (Dennis) Marcyes of Long Prairie; special friend, Louis Doege of Sauk Centre; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother and sisters, Orlin (Rita) Tolifson of Inver Grove Heights, Linnea (David) Palmer of Scottsdale, Arizona, Karen (Gene) Gross of South St. Paul.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Bodeker on June 1, 1993; daughter, Sharon Joarnt; two granddaughters, Mindy and Stacey Bodeker; brother and sisters, Arvid Tolifson, Clarice Kirckof, Audrey Laumeyer and Shirley Fredericks.

Serving as casket bearers will be Tami Priebe, DuWayne Joarnt, Jeff Trattles, Aaron, Krista and Ryan Bodeker. Honorary bearers will be Zirla and Ed Nelson, Dan Lange, Iris Campbell, Eleanor \Tootie\" Engle and Mary Ann McDonald."
