Mildred E. “Millie” Bromenshenkel, age 97 of Sauk Centre, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Fairway Pines Assisted Living in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 12 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Greg Paffel officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Mildred Emma Meyer was born September 28, 1927, in Melrose Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Meinulf and Mary (Haskamp) Meyer. She was united in marriage to Allan Bromenshenkel on September 25, 1951, at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove.
She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Catholic Financial, and the Christian Mothers.
Survivors include her son, Ronald (Donna) Bromenshenkel of Sauk Centre; daughters, Therese (Ken) Friedrichs of Little Sauk and Ann (Joe) Berling of Melrose; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Bromenshenkel of Sauk Centre; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Cyril Meyer of Sauk Centre, Lawrence Meyer of Willmar, Richard (Bonnie) Meyer of Milaca, In-laws Ray Trisko, Sauk Centre, Evelyn Siegle, Long Prairie and Lillian Lucas, Eau Claire, WI; and many nieces, nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Bromenshenkel in 2012; son, Daniel Bromenshenkel in 2004; grandson, Adam Bromenshenkel in 2019; parents; brothers and sisters, Loretta Miller, Clarence Meyer, Florence Meyer, Dolores Dols, and Albert Meyer.
Serving as casket bearers will be her grandsons, Shawn Bromenshenkel, Bryan Bromenshenkel, Jason Bromenshenkel, Marcus Bromenshenkel, Isaac Berling, Jacob Berling, Tyler Berling, and Michael Friedrichs. Cross bearer will be her granddaughter Sara Tschida, scripture bearer will be her granddaughter, Jill Friedrichs and rosary bearer will be her granddaughter, Angie Fuechtmann. Serving as gift bearers will be her granddaughters, Kristen Wolf and Heather Juelke. Lector will be her grandson, Isaac Berling. Eucharistic minister will be her granddaughter in-law Paula Bromenshenkel.
