Michael Hiltner

Michael J. Hiltner, age 56, of St. Cloud, died from an apparent heart attack on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at his home in St. Cloud.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Interment will be at a later date.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church in Freeport.

Michael was born May 18, 1950 in St. Cloud to Clarence "Smoky" Hiltner and Genevieve "Jennie" (Overman) Hiltner. He was passionate about photography, woodworking, reading, and most of all, his children.

Survivors include his children, Keri Jerome and her husband, Jason of St. Cloud, Aaron of St. Peter, and Grace of St. Cloud; mother, Jennie of Freeport; and sisters and brothers, Dave Hiltner and his wife, Joanne of Fergus Falls, Karl Hiltner and his wife, Jackie of Santa Clara, CA, Anne Skodje and her husband, Bill of Minneapolis, MN, Lois Scherer and her husband, Ken of Tampa, FL, James Hiltner and his wife, Tina of Freeport, Celeste Johnson and her husband, James of St. Paul, Eric Hiltner and his wife, Simin of New York, NY, Brian Hiltner and his wife, Jan of Cold Spring, and Jason Hiltner and his wife, Shannon of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Greg and father, Smoky.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
