MaryAnn "Chuckie" Polipnick, age 79 of Sauk Centre, died peacefully at her daughter's home in Chaska, Minnesota on Wednesday, December 30, 2009.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 2, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church in Sauk Centre.

MaryAnn Helmbrecht was born March 5, 1930 in Long Prairie to Sebastian and Alice (Dinkel) Helmbrecht. On April 30, 1952 she married Allan Polipnick at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. She worked as a nurse's aide at St. Michael's Hospital and later as a bartender at the American Legion. Chuckie enjoyed cooking for others, playing the organ, and playing cards with friends. She also enjoyed playing games and visiting her grandchildren.Chuckie was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 67 Auxiliary where she served as past president.

She is survived by her four children, Laura "Pug" (Ken) Borgmann of Waseca, Linda (Terry) Goins of Chaska, Dona (Jim) Watson of Eden Prairie, and Gary (Carol) Polipnick of McFarland, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren, Chad Borgmann, Monique Snyder, Michon Sommers, Jamie Goins, Mitch and Mike Watson, Caley, Hannah, and Abby Polipnick; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon and Tiffany Borgmann, Samantha, Alex, and Ben Snyder, Quentin and Spencer Sommers; sister, Elizabeth Wood; and many nieces and nephews.

Chuckie was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Polipnick on May 5, 1978; parents; brothers and sisters, Rose Brooks, Clarence Helmbrecht, Una Boodle, Jerome Helmbrecht, Harold Helmbrecht, and William Helmbrecht.

Serving as urn bearers will be Linda and Terry Goins. Cross bearer will be Jim Benson and Scripture bearer will be Jess Blair. Serving as gift bearers will be Chad Borgmann, Monique Snyder, and Michon Sommer, and the lector will be Ken Borgmann.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
