MaryAnn Johnson

MaryAnn Johnson, age 76, of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2015 at the CentraCare Health Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 14 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Jeremy Theis officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

MaryAnn Mozis was born January 2, 1940 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Frank and Mary (Theide) Mozis. MaryAnn grew up in the Twin Cities area and graduated from West High in 1958. After school she moved to California for a year where she taught ballroom dancing at the Arthur Murray Studio. Shortly after MaryAnn moved back home and began working for Honeywell where she met the love of her life. MaryAnn and Harold were married on February 27, 1960 at the Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis. The couple went on to raise five wonderful children and after her job as a mother went back to work for the Carlson Company for over 10 years. Upon retiring they moved to Sauk Centre on the lake, which was MaryAnn's dream.

MaryAnn was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church.

MaryAnn is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harold Johnson of Sauk Centre; children, Mike Johnson of Nowthen, Connie (Kyle) Moorhead of Maple Grove, Steven Johnson of Toronto, Canada, and Jennifer Johnson of Champlin; daughter-in-law, Jan Johnson of Ramsey; and grandchildren, Lindsay Langham, Madison Moorhead, Hannah Johnson, Max Johnson, Tom Johnson, Elis Johnson, Aron Johnson, and Breanna Johnson.

MaryAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Mozis; son, Joseph Johnson on October 31, 2014; and grandchildren, Jeremy Langham and Samuel Johnson.

Serving as casket bearers will be Kyle Moorhead, Max Johnson, Tom Johnson, Mike Johnson, Steve Johnson, Richard Asmus, Lindsay Langham, and Madison Moorhead. Cross bearer will be Hannah Johnson and scripture bearer will be Breanna Johnson.
