Mary Walter

Mary M. Walter, age 87 of Sauk Centre, died on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 24 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. James Statz will officiate with interment following in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the church in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Friday evening at the church.

Mary Walter was born on January 5, 1917 near Ogden, Iowa to L. Omar and Lillian (Roberts) McCall. On June 7, 1938 she married Hubert Walter in Perry, Iowa. The couple resided in Iowa for 30 years and then moved to California. Since 1984 they had resided in Sauk Centre. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Hubert Walter of Sauk Centre; five children, Keith (Janie) Walter of Fresno, California, Joyce Husick of Warsaw, Poland, Dean (Annie) Walter of Apple Valley, Judy Sears of Orlando, Florida, Susan Peterson of Sauk Centre; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and sister, Bertha Harten of Ogden, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Donald McCall.
