Mary M. Sinderman, age 96 of Grey Eagle died Thursday, October 14 at Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Ken Thielman officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church chapel in Grey Eagle. Christian Mothers will pray at 6:45 p.m. immediately following will be parish prayers at 7 p.m. Monday evening.

Mary Sinderman was born on October 20, 1907 in Krain Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to John and Katherine (Fichtinger) Thell. She was united in marriage to Xavier F. Sinderman on November 6, 1943 at St. Anthony. She was homemaker all her life and for the past three years she resided at Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose. Mary enjoyed quilting, crocheting and tatting. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle and the Christian Mothers.

Survivors include her son, Nicholas Sinderman (Geraldine) of St. Paul; step-children, Rose Rauchwarter of Webster, SD, Frank Sinderman (Geraldine) of Sobieski, Lawrence Sinderman (Phyllis) of Eagan, Elmer Sinderman (Lucille) of Melrose, Victor Sinderman (Beverly) of St. Paul and Rita Tye (Richard) of Richfield; many grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and sister, Ann Roerick of Melrose.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John and Katherine Thell; husband, Xavier F. Sinderman in December of 1983; step-children, Leo, Henry, Clarence and Theresa Sinderman, Helen Opitz and Marie Cushman; grandson, Timothy Sinderman; brothers, Joseph, Martin and John Thell, and Brother Steve Thell, OSB; sisters, Rose Beuning, Lena Holbauer and Barbara Ballman.

Serving as casket bearers will be Mary's granddaughters. Cross bearer will be Marcella Grosek. Gift bearers will be Elmer and Lucille Sinderman. Reader will be Bernie Schad. Honorary bearers will be the Christian Mothers.
