Mary A. Hamilton, age 75 of Sauk Centre, died Sunday, October 31, 2004 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 3 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. James Statz will officiate with interment following in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Christian Mothers will pray at 5 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mary Hamilton was born October 23, 1929 in West Union Township, Todd County, Minnesota to Joseph and Mildred (Frederick) Beste. On September 19, 1950 she married Glenn Hamilton at St. Alexius Catholic Church in West Union. The couple farmed in Lyman Prairie, near Sauk Centre. They moved to Sauk Centre, where she raised six children. She was employed for twenty years by St. Michael's Hospital and was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. Mary enjoyed baking and was well-known for her doughnuts.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn Hamilton of Sauk Centre; six children, Richard (Beverly) Hamilton of Hancock, Kathy (Randy) Mauch of Mooreton, North Dakota, Ross (Diane) Hamilton of Janesville, Diane (Craig) Pausch of Hankinson, North Dakota, Jane (Matt) Korinek of Wahpeton, North Dakota, Dean (Tiffanny) Hamilton of Edgewood, Washington; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Howard (Geraldine) Beste, Eleanor (Lester) Engle and Norbert (Mae) Beste, all of Sauk Centre; sister-in-law, Pearl Beste of Sauk Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harlan Beste; and sister, Dorothy Mager.
Serving as casket bearers will be John and Dallas Hamilton, Lynn, Joe, Bruce and Paul Engle. Cross bearer will be Jeremy Hamilton and scripture bearer will be Joshua Nordick.
