Martha Weber, age 80 of Melrose, died Friday, November 18, 2005 at the Melrose Area Hospital in Melrose, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 21 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose. Rev. Vincent Lieser will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Christian Mothers, St. Elizabeth's Society and Legion of Mary will pray at 5 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Martha Weber was born July 27, 1925 in Melrose, Minnesota to Joseph and Hildegard (Wessel) Rolfzen. On June 26, 1946 she married Anthony "Tony" Weber at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Melrose. She was a life long resident of Melrose where she volunteered at St. Mary's School library. Martha enjoyed playing cards and sewing.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she served as a sacristan, Christian Mothers, St. Elizabeth's Society and Legion of Mary.

Survivors include ten children, Darlene (Curt) Andres of Monticello, David (Marilyn) Weber of Melrose, Diane (Joseph) Majchrzak of St. Joseph, Duane (Carol) Weber of Eagan, Donna (George) Pavelek of Glencoe, Dennis (Judy) Weber of Melrose, Deborah (Jack) Evens of Albany, Diona (John) Pearson of Maple Grove, Denise Tomasek and Daniel (Rhonda) Weber of Melrose; 27 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Rose (Dick) VanBeck and Marge (Ron) Harry, all of Melrose.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony Weber on August 16, 1981; and sister, Jeanette Johnson.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jennifer Middendorf, Tony Weber, Russ Andres, Jodi Allshouse, Jason Majchrzak, George Pavelek, Jerry and Lisa Weber, Mara Evens, Samantha Pearson and Nathan Tomasek. Cross bearer will be Berkley Weber, scripture bearer will be Izach Evens, gift bearers will be Tina Pearson, Wendy Tibbott, Melissa Majchrzak and Rhonda Carrico, lectors will be Nicole Weber and Katherine Kunze, petitioners will be Mara Evens, Sara and Verena Weber and Izach Evens, servers will be Jessica Tomasek and Spencer Weber and vocalists will be Brenda Corbett, Aimee Whiteside and Katherine Kunze. Honorary bearers will be Edith and Rita Ritter, Marcella Frericks, Mary Ann Primus, Marge Harry, Helen Blommel, Caroline Jacobs, Lorraine Euteneuer and members of the Legion of Mary.
