Marline M. Straub, age 67 of Sauk Centre, died peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, June 4, 2009 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Marty Porter officiating.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
Marline Mondor was born May 22, 1942 in Pembina County, North Dakota to Eusebe and Irene (Mattson) Mondor. She raised her family on a farm near Lengby, Minnesota and moved to Sauk Centre in 1986. She had been employed as a cook at St. Michael's Hospital, Hardees, and Coborn's Deli. For the past two years she had resided at Riverview Manor. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.Marline liked to cook and take care of her kids and family. She enjoyed bird watching, bowling, gardening, and canning.
She is survived by three children, William Straub (Judy) of Lindstrom, Robert Straub, Jr. (Claudette) of Sauk Centre, and Kari Straub (Kevin VanHavermaet) of Grey Eagle; five grandchildren, Billy, Jr., Darin, Kolin, Nathan, and Michelle; ex-husband, Robert Straub, Sr. of Sauk Centre; sisters, Alice Bartlett of Sauk Centre and Bernice Meyer (Arnie) of Port Alberni, British Columbia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Phillip Mondor; sisters, Joyce, Phyllis Kuehn, Mary, Judy Gust, Inez, Ida, Josephine, and Annabelle.
