Marion Wiener

Marion L. Wiener, age 76 of Sauk Centre, died Friday, November 5, 2004 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 8 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Todd Schneider will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Christian Mothers will pray at 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home in Sauk Centre followed by parish prayers at 7:30 p.m.

Marion Wiener was born September 8, 1928 in Melrose, Minnesota to Otto and Frances (Miller) Koecheler. On October 23, 1957 she married Robert "Bud" Wiener at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Melrose. After living on a farm in the Sauk Centre area for many years, she was a cook at Holy Family School until she retired. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.
Marion enjoyed being with her grandchildren, baking, cooking and sewing. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to go gambling.

She is survived by three children, Dan (Ilene) Wiener and Alan (Jane) Wiener, all of Sauk Centre, Mary (Tim) Martin of St. Paul; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Kristie, Amanda, Jessica, Katie and Maggie Wiener, Jacob and Sam Martin; and brother, Chuck (Judith) Koecheler of Ormond Beach, Florida. She is also survived by other relatives, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert "Bud" Wiener on March 3, 2003; sister, Dorothy Weber; and brother, Ed Koecheler.

Serving as casket bearers will be Steve Haeny, Dennis and Mark Kortan, Tom Weber, Aaron and Leo Wiener. Cross bearer will be Katie Wiener. Honorary bearers will be Delores Bromen, Sue Haeny, Bernice Johnson, Joanie Kortan, Lorraine Meyer, Verena Pauly, Rosie VanBeck, Rita Waldoch, Mae Wiechmann and Toni Wiener.
