Marie Clara Hussong was born September 1, 1928 on the Hussong family farm in Alba Township, Jackson County, Minnesota to Raymond and Clara (Stude) Hussong. Marie attended Okabena schools, graduating in 1947. She married Harold Walter Ninneman on March 7, 1948 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lakefield, Minnesota. The couple settled on the Ninneman homeplace in Lakefield where Harold continued working on the family farm. Later they moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where they lived for two years before returning to farming in Brewster, Okabena, Lakefield, and Herman. While raising her family, Marie kept busy baking, cooking, canning, doing the wash, and attending the activities of all eight children. She was a huge help on the farm, raising chickens and tending to a large garden. After Harold's death in 1987, Marie moved to Morris where she enjoyed volunteering at the Villa of St. Francis, Zion Lutheran Church and Meals on Wheels. She also took time to travel to Washington, Arizona, and Germany. In 2005 she moved to Lakeshore Estates in Sauk Centre. Marie enjoyed embroidery, gardening, word finds, watching The Price is Right and volunteering at St. Michael's Nursing Home. Marie took pride in her family above all else.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Melrose.
