Marie Kleve

Marie M. Kleve, age 82 of Albany, formerly of St. Francis, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 surrounded by her family at the Saint Cloud Hospital in Saint Cloud, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany with Rev. Jonathan Licari, OSB officiating. Entombment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. Christian Mothers of St. Francis will pray at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the church.

Marie Mathilda Kleve was born May 31, 1926 in Krain Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Anton and Mary (Arnzen) Van Heel. On October 15, 1946 she was united in marriage to Arnold Kleve at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in St. Francis. The couple farmed near St. Francis until 2004 when they moved to Freeport. Marie and Arnold have since moved to Mercy Manor in Albany.She was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany, Christian Mothers of St. Francis, and the Catholic Aid Society. Marie enjoyed flowers, quilt making, playing cards and working crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her husband, Arnold Kleve of Albany; children, Robert (Nancy) Kleve of St. Anna, David (Dianne) Kleve of St. Francis, Alice (Ray) Eggert of Avon, Marilyn (Roger) Zimmermann of Albany, and Carol Kleve of Albany; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Edmund Van Heel of Albany; sisters, Walburga Ebnet of Holdingford, Julietta Van Heel of Albany, Rita Ritter of Freeport, and Bertha Lucken of Richmond.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Mary Van Heel; an infant son; granddaughter, Jody Kleve; brother, Alphonse Van Heel; and sisters, Rose Douvier and Hilda Forster.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jason Kleve, Jason Eggert, Roger Zimmermann Jr., Travis Schleppenbach, Michael Zimmermann, and Scott Kleve. Cross bearer will be Jennifer Wilke and scripture bearer will be Gwen Schlueter.
