Marie Dye

Marie L. Dye, age 88, of Sauk Centre and formerly of Clara City, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, May 29, 2006 at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 2 at Patton Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with Rev. Steve Hayden officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 3 in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Clara City.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Sauk Centre.

Marie Dye was born September 20, 1917 in Oberon, North Dakota to Wilhelm and Dorothea (Kanzelman) Hahn. She was a homemaker all her life and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre.

Survivors include her children, Dorothe "Dottie" Phipps and her husband, Dale of Rocklin, California, and Colleen Thang of Sauk Centre; daughters-in-law, Lucille Priebe of Clara City and LuVonne Priebe of Benson; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren; and brother, Merle Hahn and his wife, Arlene of Boyd.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, William Priebe and Floyd Dye; son-in-law, Steve Thang; step sons, Donald and Ronald Priebe; sisters, Phyllis Hahn and Marilyn Johnson; and granddaughter-in-law, Jean Thang.
