Marian Ehresman

Marian A. Ehresman, age 85 of Sauk Centre, died Monday July 7, 2014 at CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Long Prairie, Minnesota.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 11 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Greg Paffel officiating. Inurnment will take place at St. Alexius Cemetery in West Union.

Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Marian Alice Sorenson was born July 30, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Andrew and Rose (Pischke) Sorenson. She grew up in Sauk Centre where she attended school. On November 27, 1947 she married Philip Ehresman at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. The couple lived in Sauk Centre until 1953 when they moved to California where they raised their family. After her children were grown Marian obtained her real estate license to keep herself busy. The couple returned to Sauk Centre after 33 years and made their home on Sauk Lake. Marian enjoyed living on the lake, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and was a Christian Mother.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Philip Ehresman of Sauk Centre; children, Jerry (Jeanette) Ehresman of Solvang, California, Mark (Karen) Ehresman of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Paul (Ruth) Ehresman of St. Louis, Missouri, Tom Ehresman of Deland, Florida, Julie (Scott) Sieben of Sauk Centre, and Jim (Kristina) Ehresman of Salinas, California; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Rose Sorenson; and brother Philip Sorenson.

Serving as urn bearer will be Mark Ehresman and honorary bearers will be The Ladies from the Pool of Knowledge, where Marian lead an aquacise class for 20 years.
