Margaret C. "Margie" Wiehoff, age 75, of Melrose, died of complications from cancer on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 30 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Ken Thielman officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Margaret Wiehoff was born December 27, 1933 in Melrose, Minnesota to Mike and Martha (Arnzen) Stanczyk. On November 27, 1951 she was united in marriage to Ronald J. Wiehoff. The couple moved to Minneapolis where Margie worked for Carlson Companies until retiring in 1995. After retiring, the couple moved back to Melrose where Margie bartended part-time at Scooter's Bar. She spent her free time being a full-time grandma and going to her grandchildren's sporting events. She also enjoyed going to the casino. Margie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose.
Margie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ronald Wiehoff of Melrose; children, Lynn (Richard) West of Melrose, Ron "Skip" Wiehoff of Melrose, and Scott (Laurie) Wiehoff of Melrose; grandchildren, Justin Hannine, Jessi (Scott) Welle, Mike West, Brad and Corey Wiehoff, Ronnie, Austin, Tyler and Brandon Wiehoff; great-grandchildren, Derek, Audrey and Brooke Welle, Logan Wiehoff and one due in May.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Martha Stanczyk.
Serving as casket bearers will be Justin Hannine, Mike West, Ronnie Wiehoff, Austin Wiehoff, Brad Wiehoff, Duane Stanczyk and Joel Koopmeiners. Cross bearer will be Derek Welle and scripture bearer will be Corey Wiehoff.
