Margaret M. Schwinghamer, age 63 of Sauk Centre, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at her home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 1 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating with Rev. Andrew Marthaler and Rev. Tim Wenzel concelebrating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be held at 5:15 p.m. followed by the Christian Mothers at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Margaret Mary Deters was born November 12, 1946 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Henry and Clara (Marthaler) Deters. The family resided in Sauk Centre where Margaret graduated from Sauk Centre High School. On October 1, 1966 she married Roger Schwinghamer at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Margaret worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company until 1968 when the couple started their family, which included, Craig, Christopher, and Chad. Margaret worked at Cenex and Weight Watchers for nine years and First State Bank for the last nine years. She loved to do quilting and flower gardening in her free time and she enjoyed every second with her eight grandchildren, who were the light of her life. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all who offered their help and for all the prayers they received.

Margaret was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Mater Dolorosa, American Legion Post 67 Auxiliary, Weight Watchers, and served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Margaret will be missed by all who knew her, especially her husband, Roger Schwinghamer of Sauk Centre; children, Craig (Tammy) Schwinghamer of Sauk Centre, Christopher (Christine) Schwinghamer of Sauk Centre, and Chad (Patsy) Schwinghamer of Sauk Centre; grandchildren, Joey, Thomas, Tyler, Hope, Paige, Kayla, Colby, and Alyssa; brothers and sisters, Alex (Carol) Deters of St. Cloud, Jerry (Janet) Deters of St. Cloud, Kathe (Leo) Olmscheid of St. Cloud, and Lorayne (Jerry) Peckskamp of Sartell; and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Clara Deters; brother, Robert Deters; and sister, Teresa Schulte.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jason Beste, Matt Voller, Kim Carlberg, Kent Carlberg, Joe Schwinghamer, and Thomas Schwinghamer. Cross bearer will be Tyler Schwinghamer and scripture bearer will be Hope Schwinghamer. Honorary bearers will be Joanie Voller, Dave and Jan Wiener, Ray and Norma Karasch, Dave and Marian Walter, Leander and Fronie Moritz, Clifford and Janet Jennissen, Dick and Darlene Rousslang, and Dave and Irma Bromenshenkel.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Michael's Hospice and Marge's memorial garden.
