Margaret F. Larson, age 88 of Sauk Centre, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon, Monday, March 7 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. James Statz will officiate with interment following in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre.
Margaret Larson was born March 10, 1916 in Getty Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Robert and Anna (Allen) Kenna. She graduated from normal school and taught school in the Duluth area. She then attended St. Cloud State and received her bachelor's degree. She then taught school in St. Paul until her marriage. On October 8, 1955 she married J.J. "Jack" Larson at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre and she assisted her husband in his law practice until their retirement. She had resided at St. Michael's Nursing Home for the past two months. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, where she had served on the parish council, Christian Mothers and had been a member of the Sauk Centre Home School Advisory Board.
Margaret enjoyed bowling, bridge, bird watching, flower gardening and caring for her beloved dog, Ginger.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, Jane Roberts of Cathedral City, California, James Clark of Billings, Montana, Kathleen Seefeldt of Woodbridge, Virginia, Karen Rooney of Woodbury, Patricia Kenna of Maple Grove, Gloria Otte of Sauk Centre, Patricia Callahan of Deerfield, New Hampshire, and Mary Lynn Bolado of Sharpsburg, Georgia; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Larson on December 24, 1989; sister, Jane Clark; brothers, Vincent, Cyril, Fred, Kenneth and James Kenna; and niece, Iris Kenna.
Serving as casket bearers will be Allison Olson, Tom Otte, Gina Gapinski, Kelly Anderson, Steve and Patrick Rooney. Cross bearer will be Paula Seefeldt and scripture bearer will be David Rooney.
