Margaret A. Klemm, age 97 of Sauk Centre, died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 14 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Sylvester Kleinschmidt and Deacon Lawrence Kaas will officiate with interment following in St. Paul's Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Margaret Klemm was born January 11, 1910 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Irving and Margaret (Fitzsminnons) Klemm. On June 12, 1937 she married Paul J. Klemm at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. The couple resided in Sauk Centre until moving to Bismarck, North Dakota in 1963, where they were caretakers of a large ranch. They returned to Sauk Centre in 1971. She was formerly employed as a waitress at the Main Street Caf? and the Waldorf Caf?. Since December of 1997 she had resided at St. Michael's Nursing Home.She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.
She is survived by a niece, Karen (George) Hnasko of Brown Deer, Wisconsin; two nephews, Gary (Nancy) Carpenter of East Bethel and Dave (Joyce) Carpenter of Golden Valley; sister-in-law, Leona (Tony) Botz of Sauk Centre; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Klemm on March 3, 1996; daughter, Patricia Jean Klemm; brother, Adelbert "Bud" Carpenter; and sister, Doris Carpenter.
Serving as casket bearers will be Dave Meyer, Greg Lehner, John Sells, Jim Kerfeld, Terry Mead, and Gary Carpenter. Cross bearer will be Jane Meyer and scripture bearer will be Amy Poepping. Honorary bearers will be Darlene Bussman, Helen Brake, Alta Weiner, Jacki Mead, Judy and Don Wiegers, Cheryl and Duane Peterson, Lou Ann Rousslange, Becky Tomford, Kathy Schmiesing, Gail Bias, Lois Kuhlman, and Ruth Nienaber.
