Marcella E. "Marc" Meyer, age 91 of Meire Grove died Thursday, May 25, 2006 at the Pine Haven Care Center in Melrose, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon Monday, May 29 at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove with Rev. Joseph Korf officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Sun. from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose and Mon. from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove. St. Mary's Society, Poor Soul's Society and Holy Rosary Society will pray at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Marcella Meyer was born on September 2, 1914 in Bluffton Township, Ottertail County, Minnesota to Herman and Gertrude (Breitbach) Imdieke. She was united in marriage to Edwin Meyer on October 27, 1936 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa. Marcella was a school teacher in the Greenwald and Meire Grove area until retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Society, Poor Soul's Society, Holy Rosary Society, St. John's Catholic Aid and the Homemaker's group. Marcella enjoyed gardening and flowers.

She is survived by her children, Roy and his wife, Ruth "Susie" Meyer of Melrose, Paul and his wife, Deb Meyer of Melrose; daughter-in-law, Martha Meyer of Meire Grove; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Wendelin and his wife, Lois Imdieke of Mololla, Oregon, and Robert and his wife, Mary Ann Imdieke of Elrosa.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin Meyer on September 11, 1996; son, Leon Meyer on June 26, 1998; brothers and sisters, Herman, Ervin and Sr. Leonissa Imdieke, Bertha Roelike and Violette Bayer.

Casket bearers will be Michele Gilmer, Barry, Doug, Kurt, Adam and Cody Meyer. Serving as cross bearer will be Erin Meyer and scripture bearer will be Luke Gilmer. Honorary bearers will be members of the St. Mary's Society.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John's Parish in Meire Grove.
