Mabel I. Rosenau, age 96 of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Sauk Centre, died on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at The Lodge at Maranatha Village in Springfield, Missouri.
Committal services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Rev. Kathy Schuler will officiate with interment following in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre.
Mabel Rosenau was born on November 7, 1909 in Ashley Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to George and Sarah Jane (Pack) Rosenau. She received her bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State University and was certified to teach all grades, nursery school and kindergarten. She taught in country schools in the Sauk Centre area and also in Bertha, Floodwood and Hutchinson. Since 1994 she had resided at Maranatha Village in Springfield, Missouri. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene, Wesleyan Circle, National Education Association (NEA) and Minnesota Education Association (MEA) and a former member of the Sauk Centre Seniors.
Survivors include nieces, Carol Rosenau of Bertha and Joyce Larson of Minneapolis; and other distant relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Irvin, Roy, Frank, William, Sam and Alfred Rosenau; sisters, Elsie Bodamer and Bessie Rosenau.
