Mabel Dupey

Mabel E. Dupey, age 87 of Sauk Centre, formerly of Eagle Bend and Staples, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Private interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, rural Eagle Bend.

Mabel Evangeline Dupey was born March 14, 1924 in Irondale Township, Crow Wing County, Minnesota to Arthur and Flora (McGuire) Dupey. After her father's death she moved into the home of Sam and Mary Dettinger in Eagle Bend, Minnesota and Mabel sometimes went by the Dettinger name. Mabel attended the Eagle Bend Public School until the eighth grade. After Sam and Mary's deaths, she continued to live with their daughter, Ruth.

In 1985 Mabel moved to the Mary Rondorf Home in Staples and she was employed at the Todd County DAC in Browerville. She moved to Ottertail Lake Residence in Battle Lake in 1993 and worked at Productive Alternative, Inc. When the Ottertail Lake Residence closed in 2001, she moved to the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa. She remained there until June of 2009 when she relocated to St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clyde, Donald, Clarence, and Pat Dupey; her foster family, Sam, Mary and Ruth Dettinger.
