Lynn Heinen-Herda, age 53 of Albany, died in a car accident on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 while traveling with her husband through Montana.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 21 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Avon with Rev. Blane Wasnie. An inurnment will take place at a later date due to Alex's current state of recovery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church in Avon. Parish prayers will be at 4:15 p.m. Friday at the church.
Lynn Marie Heinen was born June 1, 1962 in St. Cloud, MN to Terry and Marcy (Friedrichs) Heinen. She graduated from Albany and attended the College of St. Benedict earning her degree in nursing and contributed twenty years of her career to Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. On January 26, 1985 she married Alexander "Alex" Herda at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Avon. Lynn loved puttering with outdoor flowers, researching / surfing the web, and cared for her family. Most precious to her was sharing time with all.
Survivors include Alex and children Megan Herda (fiancé, Kevin Datta) of Hopkins and Nicholas Herda of Portland, OR.; parents, Terry and Marcy Heinen of Avon; sisters, Mary Beth (Jeff) Crawford of Oconomowoc, WI and Renee Tamm of St. Cloud; mother-in-law, Wini Herda of Big Lake; brothers-in-law, Ben, Vince, Paul; and sister-in-law, Kerstine Herda.
Lynn was preceded in death by her father-in-law, George Herda.
