Lydia E. Mueller, age 91 of Sauk Centre, died on Thursday, October 9, 2003 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. James Statz will officiate with inurnment following in St. Paul's Cemetery.
Friends may gather from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church in Sauk Centre.
Lydia Mueller was born on October 26, 1911 in Sauk Rapids to Albert and Wanda (Mandau) Bianga. On October 26, 1931 she married Henry Mueller at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. They resided in the Sauk Rapids and St. Cloud area until 1947 when they moved to Sauk Centre and entered the hardware business. For many years they resided on Big Birch Lake and in 1995 moved to Lake Shore Estates in Sauk Centre. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.
Survivors include son-in-law, Bob VanBeck of Sauk Centre; sister-in-law, Gertie Bianga of Sauk Rapids; and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry on March 30, 1998; daughter, Wanda Lee VanBeck; infant granddaughter, Carmen; sister, Almeda Barrigan; and brother, Leo Bianga.
Serving as honorary bearers will be Gertie and Viola Bianga, Joyce Koslowske, Sharon Lees, Debbie Kittridge and Mary Jane Kolladge.
Memorials are preferred to the Poor Clare's Monastery, 421 Fourth St. South, Sauk Rapids, MN.
