Luella Seifermann

Luella J. Seifermann, age 79 of Elrosa died Friday, December 10, 2004 at her home after a long battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 13 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa with Rev. Jeff Ethan officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Christian Mothers, St. James Catholic Aid and St. Martha's Mission Society will pray at 5:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. Sunday evening.

Luella Seifermann was born April 21, 1925 in Roscoe, Minnesota to Herman and Caroline (Meyer) Koetter. She was united in marriage to Sylvester Seifermann on August 30, 1950 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Roscoe. The couple made their home in Elrosa. Luella was a postmaster for 20 years. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa, Christian Mothers, St. James Catholic Aid, St. Martha's Mission Society, Elrosa Senior Citizens and Retired Postmasters. She volunteered at the Belgrade, Brooten and Elrosa food shelf and for the Red Cross. Luella enjoyed quilting, bowling, crossword puzzles, sewing, reading, crocheting and genealogy.

Survivors include her husband, Sylvester Seifermann of Elrosa; children, Tom Seifermann of Elrosa, Carol Bertram and her husband, Don of Elrosa, Marilyn Schroeder and her husband, Arlan of Sauk Centre, Elaine Jindra and her husband, Wayne of Elk River, Lois Weihrauch and her husband, Steve of Chanhassen, and Janet James of West Palm Beach, FL; nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter; brothers and sisters, Othmar Koetter of Richmond, Roman Koetter of St. Cloud, Irene Rausch and her husband, Michael of Cold Spring, Herbert Koetter of Roscoe, Veronica Janssen and her husband, Valerian of Farming, and John Koetter of Richmond.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Ervin Koetter.

Serving as casket bearers will be Chris Bertram, Scott Bertram, Joshua Schroeder, Levi Schroeder, Brian Weihrauch, Kevin Weihrauch, and Eric Jindra. Serving as cross bearer will be Courtney Schroeder and scripture bearer will be Katie Jindra. Honorary bearers will be Ceil Loxtercamp, Frieda Roelike, Charlene Ohmann, Anna Marie Schwieters, Lorraine Wander, Joan Arceneau, Meg Korf, Bernice Schmidt, Hortense Walz, Kathy Kampsen, Diane Dold, and T.C. Buckentine.
