Lucille Waldorf

Lucille T. Waldorf, age 81 of Sauk Centre, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 5 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Jeremy Theis officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Lucille Thecla Hieserich was born February 21, 1934 in Spring Hill, Minnesota to Joseph and Ottilia (Imdieke) Hieserich. She spent her childhood and attended country school near Spring Hill. On June 18, 1957, she married Berthold "Bert" Waldorf at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. The couple farmed near Sauk Centre before moving to town in 1967, where Lucille dedicated most of her life raising her family.

She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Lucille enjoyed playing cards, especially 500 and Solo, watching her favorite soap operas and game shows, having good conversation, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a kind, sweet lady who always made you feel good.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Berthold "Bert" Waldorf of Sauk Centre; children, Diane (David) Imdieke of Sauk Centre, Mark (Debbie) Waldorf of St. Louis Park, Brenda (Chris) Helsene of Shorewood, and Lori (Steve) Wischmann of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Nicholas Helsene, Amber (Brett) Haider, Ashley (Tony) Grossman, Bradley Waldorf, Kyle Imdieke, Rachel Waldorf, and Mitchell Wischmann; great-granddaughter, Hayden Haider; brother, Ray (Louise) Hieserich of Sauk Centre; sister, Mary Ann (Richard) Orth of Sauk Centre; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph Hieserich; and sister, Eileen Hieserich.

Serving as urn bearer will be Bert and Mark Waldorf. Cross bearer will be Nicholas Helsene and scripture bearer will be Rachel Waldorf.
