Lucille Rohr

Lucille R. Rohr, age 83, of Texas and formerly of Melrose, died Friday, June 15, 2012 at Providencia Assisted Living in Lewisville, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church in Melrose.

Lucille Ruth Worden was born October 17, 1928 in Bluffton, Minnesota to Melvin and Margaret (Kicker) Worden. On October 22, 1946 she married Victor Rohr at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena, Minnesota. The couple resided in Wadena, MN, Evansville, MN, St. Thomas, ND, and Melrose, MN. Lucille was employed as a cook at the Melrose Public Schools for 25 years and retired in 1993. Since 2004 she had resided in Corinth and Lewisville, Texas.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose.

Survivors include two children, Michael (LuAnn) Rohr of Corinth, Texas and Patricia (Pete) Calguire of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren, Tim and Jeff Kempkes, Sarah Zydzik, Eric Rohr, Jennifer Wiederhold, Nancy Pirkey, and Adam Fruend; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, LaVonne (David) Kerkman of Three Lakes, Wisconsin.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor on May 15, 1999; son, Mark Rohr; daughter, Helen Kempkes; brothers, Clifford, Delvin, Robert, Dean, and Melvin Worden, Jr.; sisters, Shirley Swenson and Charlotte Benn.
