Lucille I. (Peterson) Moritz, age 87 of Sauk Centre, died Monday, August 27, 2007 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 29 at Greenwood Cemetery in Sauk Centre with Rev. Kathy Schuler officiating.
Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre.
Lucille Moritz was born June 18, 1920 in Paynesville, Minnesota to Emmett and Lydia (Wilde) Lewerenz. She grew up in Paynesville and later moved to Sauk Centre. She had been employed as a waitress at the 52 Club and the Ding Dong Cafe. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and a former member of the Eagles Auxiliary.Lucille loved to go bowling and dancing and enjoyed following Minnesota Twins baseball.
Survivors include three children Larry (Prudence) Peterson of Maple Grove, Kay Peterson of Plymouth, and Dean (Jodi Regan) Moritz of St. Joseph; four grandchildren, Keith, Beth, Jennifer and Kristin Peterson; and one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Peterson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Donald Peterson; brothers, Eugene and Luverne "Bud" Lewerenz; and sister, June Siegel.
