Lucille F. Minette, age 74 of Sauk Centre, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at the St. Cloud Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 22 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Dick McGuire and Rev. Todd Schneider will concelebrate with interment following in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. St. Theresa's Mission Group will pray at 4:30 p.m. followed by Christian Mothers at 7 p.m. and parish prayers at 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home in Sauk Centre.
Lucille Minette was born on April 5, 1929 in Watkins, Minnesota to Joseph and Mary (Asfeld) Arens. On October 5, 1954 she was married to Bud Minette at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Padua, Minnesota. The couple farmed in Sauk Centre Township, Stearns County. Lucille was formerly employed as a bookkeeper at the Padua Creamery and the Sauk Centre Creamery as a bookkeeper. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, St. Theresa's Mission Group and Ashley Ladies Club.
Survivors include her husband, Bud Minette of Sauk Centre; two children, Julie Ann (Bob) Mayers of Melrose and Jerry (Maria) Minette of Sauk Centre; seven grandchildren, Shawn, Sara and Michael Mayers, Melissa, Marcus, Teresa and Jill Minette; brothers and sisters, Wilfred (Doris) Arens of Padua, Clarence (Doreen) Arens of Sauk Centre, Kathy Nelson of Maple Grove, Ruth Ann (Ed) Zastrow of Sauk Centre and Janet (Clifford) Jennissen of Sauk Centre.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Scottie Mayers; brothers-in-law, Ronald Meyer and Palmer "Nels" Nelson.
Serving as casket bearers will be Teresa, Melissa and Marcus Minette, Shawn, Sara and Michael Mayers and Jill Minette will serve as cross bearer.
