Louise A. Hagstrom, age 81 of Burtrum, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, Minnesota.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 12 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Ron Tibbetts officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Grey Eagle.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle.
Louise Ann Ainali was born May 5, 1934 in Millwood Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to George and Ruth (Murphy) Ainali. She was united in marriage to Leonard Hagstrom on October 15, 1950 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle. Louise was a homemaker who helped Leonard on the farm south of Swanville. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, especially baking bread. Louise was a nurturing mother to her children, grandchildren, and many family pets. She enjoyed family gatherings at the family home and at the lake.
Survivors include her children, Neil (Judith) Hagstrom of Burtrum, Douglas Hagstrom of Sauk Centre, Sherry (John) Zeis of Burtrum, and Melanie (Gary) Erickson of Little Falls; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Mel) Johnson of Minneapolis; and brother, John (Delores) Ainali of St. Rose.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Hagstrom on May 25, 2014; parents; sisters, Arlene Hiltunen and Elaine Hartsworm; and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hagstrom.
Serving as casket bearers will be Jacob Zeis, Matthew Hagstrom, Tom Klinnert, Clint DeZeeuw, David Zarns, and Aaron Krzak. Honorary bearers will be Louise's grandchildren.
