Louis L. Imdieke, age 59 of St. Cloud, died after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 18 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Meire Grove with Rev. Gabriel Walz officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Louis LeRoy Imdieke was born October 26, 1958 in Melrose, Minnesota to Lawrence J. and Lucille (Schleppenbach) Imdieke. He graduated from Melrose High School and furthered his education by earning a degree in Commercial Arts at Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria. At the age of 10, Louis began playing drums and was musically talented. He played for three bands, Crystal Breeze, Rosewood, and most recently, Top Notch. Louis loved all music, was very athletic, and was a huge Minnesota Timberwolves fan. He also enjoyed Bible studies and being a part of the spiritual ministry at the correctional facilities in St. Cloud and Benton County.
Survivors include his significant other, Rhonda Wimmer of St. Cloud; mother, Lucille Imdieke of Meire Grove; brothers and sisters, Linda (Mike) Klaphake of Melrose, LuAnn Imdieke of St. Paul, Leona Ulrich of Perham, LaVonne (Rich) Gallus of St. Joseph, Lyle (Jacqueline) Imdieke of Northfield, Lynette (Fred) Imdieke-Struzyk of South Haven, Laura Imdieke of St. Cloud, Lisa (Mike) Arend of Andover, Lloyd (Shelly) Imdieke of St. Cloud, and Lila (Tim) Smith of Crystal; and many nieces and nephews.
Louis was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Imdieke, Sr.; and brothers, Lawrence "Larry" Imdieke, Jr. and Lynn Imdieke.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
