Louis Bushaw

Louis D. Bushaw, age 79 of Sauk Centre, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 15 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Marvin Enneking officiating and Rev. Ken Thielman concelebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Military honors by the Melrose Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Louis Daniel Bushaw was born May 9, 1934 in Fargo, North Dakota to Israel and Amelia (Novotny) Bushaw. After graduating high school, Louis served 12 years in the United States Airforce. He then went on to work for Federal Cartridge in Anoka for many years. He married the love of his life Florence Zinniel on February 7, 1981 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Anoka. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre.

Louis enjoyed fishing and going to the casino. He loved to get in the car and go with his wife, Florence; traveling and sightseeing to many places.

Survivors include his sons, Danny of Fargo, N.D. and Gary (Annette) of Minot, N.D; two grandchildren, Erik and Bethany; and sister, Rose Shores of Evansville, MN.

Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Florence on July 16, 2013, and his parents.

Casket bearers will be Roger VanHavermaet, Andrew VanHavermaet, Jessica VanHavermaet, and Crystal VanHavermaet. Cross bearers will be Wyatt VanHavermaet and Brenda VanHavermaet.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
