Lorraine B. Meyer, age 87 of Sauk Centre, died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 2 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the church in Sauk Centre.

Lorraine Barbara Dobmeier was born December 7, 1924 in Albany, Minnesota to Lawrence and Mary (Sieben) Dobmeier. On May 13, 1947 she married Edward Meyer in Sauk Centre. Lorraine worked as a laundress at Bohlig Cleaners in Sauk Centre and as a cook for the Holy Family School in Sauk Centre. She enjoyed working outside with flowers and doing yard work. She also enjoyed watching the Twins and going to all of her grandchildren's sporting events.

Lorraine was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre, Christian Mothers and the Paul F. Donart VFW Post 2853 Auxiliary.

Survivors include her children, Diane Meyer of Sauk Centre, Dean (Becky Domholt) Meyer of Sauk Centre, Doreen (Jay) Johnson of Cold Spring and Daryl (Arla) Meyer of Crookston; ten grandchildren and five plus great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ann Ritter of Albany.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Mary Dobmeier; husband, Edward Meyer on July 16, 1987; great-grandson, Elijah Meyer; brothers and sisters, Walter, Claudie, Verner, Lawrence, Virgil, Elmer, Hilary, Marcella Achmann, Julie Raden, Olivia Kalasche, and Delores Raden; and two infant siblings.

Serving as casket bearers will be Shawn Meyer, Jason Meyer, Andrew Meyer, Lance Johnson, Ben Johnson and Grant Johnson. Cross bearer will be Karlee Meyer, scripture bearer will be Amanda Johnson and picture bearer will be Ashly Meyer. Gift bearers will be Amelia and MacKenzie Meyer. Reader will be Robert Meyer. Petitions will be read by Ashly Meyer and Amanda Johnson.
