Lorraine D. Lomheim, age 83 of Sauk Centre, died Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 15 at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Rebecca Thomas officiating. Private inurnment will be at Long Bridge Lutheran Cemetery in Little Sauk Township, Todd County.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Lorraine Lomheim was born October 13, 1921 in Little Sauk Township, Todd County, Minnesota to Clarence and Julia (Lyseth) Thompson. On December 11, 1941 she married Julian Lomheim at Long Bridge Lutheran Church in Little Sauk Township, Todd County, Minnesota. The couple farmed there for nine years until moving to Sauk Centre in 1950. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan (James) Abers of Alexandria and Carol (Artie) Jaros of Blaine; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother and sister, Donald Thompson of Winter Haven, Florida and Irene Botz of Long Prairie; sisters-in-law, Harriet Lomheim of Sauk Centre and Mary Jane Thompson of St. Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Julian Lomheim on July 20, 1989; brother, Gordon Thompson; and one great granddaughter.
Serving as urn bearer will be Artie Jaros and honorary bearers will be Verner and Margaret Samuelson and Mary Mae and Julian Haskamp.
