Lorraine C. Boeckers, age 84 of New Munich, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Melrose, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 4 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich with Rev. Roger Klassen, O.S.B. officiating and Rev. Ronald Dockendorf concelebrating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church in New Munich. St. Anne's Christian Women will pray at 6 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Lorraine Catherine Boeckers was born October 12, 1929 in Krain Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Peter and Walburga (Rueter) Hoeschen. On May 24, 1949 she married Arnold Boeckers at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. She was a generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. The fruits of her kindness and generosity will remain with us forever and she will occupy a special place in all our hearts always. Lorraine took great pleasure in sharing in the company of others and was devoted to her family.

Lorraine was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich and the St. Anne's Christian Women.

Survivors include her children, Carol Schneider of St. Cloud, Judy (Dave) Nelson of Monticello, Joe Boeckers of Upsala, Jim (Diane) Boeckers of New Munich, Irene (Don) Lieser of Meire Grove, Marilyn (John) McDonald of Richland, WA, and Lois (Tim) Matti of Blaine; total of 49 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Studer of Albany and Edna Boeckermann of Upsala.

Lorriane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold Boeckers on March 14, 2002; daughter, Sandy Boeckers; son, Marvin Boeckers; and brothers, Ben Hoeschen and Claude Hoeschen.

Serving as casket bearers will be her children, Lois Matti, Marilyn McDonald, Judy Nelson, Joe Boeckers, Jim Boeckers, and Irene Lieser. Cross bearer will be Carol Schneider and scripture bearer will be Diane Boeckers. Honorary bearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
