Loretta A. Miller, age 84 of Sauk Centre, died on Monday, September 15, 2003 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 19 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre for Rev. Todd Schneider will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Christian Mothers, St. Paul's Catholic Aid and St. Margaret's Mission Group will pray at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home in Sauk Centre.
Loretta Miller was born on March 20, 1919 in Melrose Township, Stearns County to Meinulf and Mary (Haskamp) Meyer. On June 13, 1944 she married Arthur Miller at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove. The couple farmed in Getty Township, Stearns County until 1994 when they moved to Sauk Centre. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, St. Margaret's Mission Group, St. Paul's Catholic Aid and numerous card clubs. She enjoyed playing cards, quilting, crocheting and cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Miller of Sauk Centre; six children, Dorothy (Richard) Middendorf of Melrose, Mary Baca of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Walter (Clarinda) Miller of Montgomery, Judy (Steve) Meemken of Sauk Rapids, Linda (Greg) Utesch of Rochester, Lois (Gary) Gaudette of Plymouth; 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sisters, Dolores (Ewald) Dols of St. Cloud, Mildred (Allan) Bromenshenkel of Sauk Centre, Florence Meyer of Meire Grove; brothers, Cyril B. (Jane) Meyer of Sauk Centre, Lawrence (Shari) Meyer of Willmar, Albert Meyer of Meire Grove, and Richard (Bonnie) Meyer of Milaca.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Clarence Meyer.
Serving as casket bearers will be Dennis, Leon and Greg Middendorf, Brian and Wesley Miller, Mike Meemken and Shawn Gaudette. Cross bearer will be Melissa Kempf and scripture bearer will be Heather Gaudette. Honorary bearers will be members of St. Margaret's Mission Group.
