Loretta M. Linn, age 85 of Freeport, died Saturday, June 12, 2004 at her daughter's home in Albany.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Rev. Roger Klassen, OSB and Rev. Julius Beckermann, OSB will concelebrate with interment following in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Golden Years Senior Citizens and the Christian Mothers will pray at 4 p.m. followed by Sacred Heart Catholic Aid Society at 7 p.m. and parish prayers at 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Loretta Linn was born on October 24, 1918 in New Munich, Minnesota to Anton and Margaret (Klein) Nathe. She was united in marriage to John Raymond Linn on September 26, 1939 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich.
Survivors include her children, Virgil Linn (Kathleen) of Alexandria, Caroline Locnikar of St. Joseph, Dorine Rohe (Richard) of Marine, MN, Donald Linn (Scotty) of Albany, Ralph Linn (Sharon) of Albany, Ruth Tamm (Jerry) of Albany, Tim Linn (Deb) of Freeport, Joe Linn (Susie) of Belton, TX., Marian Sand (Marvin) of Albany, Barbara Blenker (Florian) of Albany, Sharon Ettle (Tom) of Freeport, David Linn (Melody) of Marshall, VA, Lori Schulzetenberg of Melrose and Lisa Witt (Daryl) of Mankato; daughter-in-law, Irene Linn of Avon; 42 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Roering of Melrose.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Margaret Nathe; husband, John Ray Linn on October 30, 1994; son, Ronald Linn in 1992 and infant daughter, Karen Linn; grandson, Donald "Tyke" Linn; sister and brothers, Catherine Hoppe, John, Jim, Tony, George, Casper and Fr. Gerard Nathe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
