Loretta A. Faber, age 88, of Sartell, formerly of Elrosa died Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa with Rev. Richard Liesen officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Christian Mothers will pray at 6 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in Melrose.
Loretta Faber was born February 5, 1917 in Padua, Minnesota to John and Margaret (Maehren) Krebsbach. She married Joseph F. Faber on September 18, 1939 in Sauk Centre. She taught at Spring Hill Country School and later worked at Elrosa and Belgrade Elementary Schools. They lived in Greenwald for a couple of years before moving to Elrosa, where they lived for 48 years until moving to the Country Manor Apartments in Sartell. Loretta enjoyed fishing, playing cards, embroidery, flowers and gardening. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Elrosa and Christian Mothers.
Survivors include her children, Robert Faber (Susan) of Montgomery Village, MD, Ron Faber (Linda) of Melrose, Roger Faber (Peg) of St. Joseph, and Renee Lepinski (Wayne) of St. Joseph; sister, Louise Jasper of New Hope; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph F. Faber on January 2, 2003; sister and brothers, Leona Jasper, Ted, Al, Edward and Arnold Krebsbach.
Casket bearers will be Richard, Keith, and Mike Faber, Don and Richard Krebsbach, and Ken Jasper. Cross bearer will be Sara Lepinski. Gift bearers will be Shelli and Beth Faber and Sara Lepinski.Honorary bearers will be Lorraine Wander, Dorothy Duevel, Ceil Loxtercamp, Rita Bauer, Clara Kochmann and Alvina Bayer.
