Loretta L. Albers, age 88 of Albany, and formerly of Ward Springs, died Monday, November 17, 2003 at the Melrose Area Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 20 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle. Rev. Ed Kraemer will officiate with interment following at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Ward Springs.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church in Grey Eagle.
Loretta Albers was born on October 1, 1915 in Ward Springs to Edward and Mary (Bense) Albers. Loretta was a homemaker all her life who took care of her parents. She enjoyed growing flowers and making them into arrangements for the church in Ward Springs. She was an avid reader and a good cook and baker. Loretta enjoyed children and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle.
She is survived by her sister, Adella Baird of Waite Park; nieces, Geralyn Conty and her husband, Mark and Mary DeBlieck and her husband, Paul; and grand niece and nephews, Megan Conty, Neil and Craig DeBlieck.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents.
Serving as casket bearers will be Craig DeBlieck, Mark Conty, Geralyn Conty, Paul DeBlieck, Mary DeBlieck and Neil DeBlieck. Serving as cross bearer will be Megan Conty.
