Lordell G. "Eb" Ebensteiner, age 75 of St. Louis Park, formerly of Albany, died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at his home in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2009 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany with Rev. Jonathan Licari, O.S.B. officiating. Entombment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Seven Dolors gathering area in Albany. Parish prayers will be at 4 p.m. Sunday evening at the Seven Dolors gathering area.
Lordell Gregor Ebensteiner was born June 7, 1934 in Albany Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Gregor and Rose (Kubicek) Ebensteiner. Lordell went to a country school and graduated from Albany High School in 1949. He graduated from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota where he also taught German for a number of years. Lordell also had joined the Air Force and was stationed in Germany.One of Lordell's most rewarding careers was being a German and Russian teacher at Benilde-St. Margaret's Catholic School in St. Louis Park. He was a gifted person who loved to read books, travel, garden, and visit with family and friends.
Lordell was preceded in death by his parents, Gregor and Rose Ebensteiner; brother, Gaylord Ebensteiner; and sister, Loreina Ebensteiner.
Serving as casket bearers will be Jim Jankovich, Jeff Schlemmer, Ken Johnson, Larry Groetsch, Rick Groetsch, and Kathy Groetsch. Serving as cross bearer will be Kendra Hoffarth and scripture bearer will be Alyson Welle.
