Lois June Quistorff, age 76 of Sauk Centre, died on January 5, 2009 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 9 at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Rebecca Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Silver Creek Cemetery in West Union.

Friends may call at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and at the church 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. The Sinclair Lewis Eagles Auxiliary will pray at 6:30 p.m. followed by the United Auxiliaries prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Lois June Quistorff was born on June 11, 1932 in Breckenridge Township in Wilkin County, Minnesota to Claus "Dutch" and Doris (McKibben) Huismann. Lois was married to Arnold J. Quistorff on September 27, 1949 at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre. The couple had six sons, Wayne, Roger, Michael, Andrew, Jeff and Jack. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre, the American Legion Post 67 Auxiliary, Paul F. Donart VFW Post 2853 Auxiliary, and the Sinclair Lewis Eagles Auxiliary.Lois loved to cook. She cooked for the 52 Club in Sauk Centre, which Arnold and she owned from 1967 to 1969, Chick's Supper Club in Melrose, the Red Barn Resort in Sauk Centre and the Truck Stop in Sauk Centre. She also managed the Sinclair Lewis Campground for 11 years. Lois also loved to celebrate her friends' birthdays at their Birthday Club parties, fishing, and baking. Christmas was Lois's favorite time of year. She would spend many hours baking and boxing up goodies that she would give to her family and friends as Christmas gifts. This was a tradition that she had done for many years.

Lois is survived by her husband of 59 years, Arnold J. Quistorff of Sauk Centre; sons, Roger (Glenda) Quistorff of Dunsmuir, California, Michael (Dora) Quistorff of Sauk Centre, Andrew (Connie) Quistorff of West Union, Jeff (Sharon) Quistorff of Sauk Centre, and Jack (April) Quistorff of Sauk Centre; daughter-in-law, Laurie Quistorff of Sauk Centre; 13 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two step-great-grandchildren; brothers Mack Huismann of Deforest, Wisconsin and Rod Huismann of Gheen, Minnesota; sister, Linda Winters of Alexandria.

Lois was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Quistorff on November 11, 1998; parents, Dutch and Doris Huismann; father-in-law, Emil Quistorff and mother-in-law, Clara Quistorff; brothers-in-law, Walter Gettel, Albert Quistorff, and George Trieweiler, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Jeanie Huismann, Marcella Gettel, Audrey Quistorff, and Thelma Quistorff; nephews, David Quistorff and Robbie Winters.

Serving as casket bearers will be Randy Quistorff, Joseph Quistorff, Rachel Quistorff, Nathan Quistorff, Monique Quistorff, Darrin Quistorff, Tyler Walther, and Amber Quistorff. Honorary bearers will be her Birthday Club, Carol Pelkey, Millie Blank, Donna Athman, LaVonne Metcalf, Bertha Barhorst, Judy Zenzen, and Delphine Kostreba; and special friends, Karen Peterson, Verona Vogt, Mary Ann Boeckers, Bonnie Fread, Marilyn Middendorf, and Flossie Bruggeman.
