Lois Jacobsen-Rodenberg

Lois C. Jacobsen - Rodenberg, 83, of Sauk Centre died Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at St. Michael's Hospital, Sauk Centre, after a battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2004 at Zion Lutheran Church, Sauk Centre, with Rev. R.E. Bloemker officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Sauk Centre.

Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 at the church.

Lois was born on March 30, 1921 in Sioux City, Iowa to Claude and Verna (Kern) Nichols. She married Marvin H. Jacobsen on March 8, 1939 in Spirit Lake, IA. They lived in Sioux Valley where they farmed until moving to Brooten, MN in 1945. They moved to Sauk Centre in 1953. Her husband, Marvin died in August of 1976. Lois was united in marriage to Harry M. Rodenberg on September 10, 1980 in St. Francis, MN. They lived on Lake Osakis until Lois moved back to Sauk Centre in 1992. She was employed at Mickey's Market and Jim's Super Value in Sauk Centre. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Lois enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her family and the residents of Silver Crest Apartments in Sauk Centre.

Survivors include her children, Donna Hansmann (Wayne) of Sauk Centre, Linda Borgmann (David) of Waite Park, Marvel Rassatt of Sauk Centre and Kent Jacobsen (Linda) of Hutchinson; step-children, Dick and Kathy Rodenberg, Terry and Edna Rodenberg, Orgene Reimers and Renee Rodenberg: step-sisters, Florence Petersen (Rodney) of Lakefield and Vernetta Rehnelt of Windom; 14 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 15 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Hugo Beuthien; husband, Marvin Jacobsen in August of 1976; Harry Rodenberg in May of 1995; step-sister, Mildred Meyer; step-brother, Melvin Beuthien; and 1 grandson, Mark Borgmann.

Casket bearers will be Wayne R. Hansmann, Ann Dickhausen, Marty Brown, Chris Jacobsen, Mike Gindorff and Greg Brown. Honorary bearers will be Terry & Edna Rodenberg, Dick & Kathy Rodenberg, Orgene Reimers, Renee Rodenberg, and residents of Silver Crest Apartments.
