Leroy Pfeffer

LeRoy D. Pfeffer, age 69, of Grey Eagle, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Melrose Area Hospital in Melrose, Minnesota.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Ron Tibbetts officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle.

LeRoy Pfeffer was born March 7, 1939 in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota to George and Rosella (Stenger) Pfeffer. On September 3, 1960 he married his high school sweetheart, Emilie Raedeke at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie. The couple lived in New Hope, Minnesota while LeRoy was employed at Midland Corporation for over 19 years. In 1984, they moved to their cabin on Little Birch Lake in Grey Eagle. LeRoy was employed at Hennen Lumber as a yard manager until his retirement in 2000.He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle and the Melrose American Legion Post 101. He loved hunting and fishing, and especially gardening. His pride and joy was his very large garden.

Survivors include his wife, Emilie Pfeffer of Grey Eagle; son, Phil Pfeffer of Grey Eagle; sister, Delores Price of Oakdale; brothers, Dale (Sandy) Pfeffer of White Bear Lake, and Duane Pfeffer of Grey Eagle; and his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rosella (Stenger) Pfeffer; brothers, George Jr. in infancy, Alfred, and Raymond; and sister, Elfa.
