LeRoy C. "Lee" Frieler, age 67 of Sauk Centre, formerly of Lake Henry, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 23 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Lake Henry with Rev. Glenn Krystosek officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Lake Henry American Legion Post 612.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Lake Henry. Parish prayers will be held at 6:30 p.m. followed by Lake Henry American Legion prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at the church in Lake Henry.

LeRoy Clarence Frieler was born January 24, 1942 in New Munich, Minnesota to Paul and Beata (Loxtercamp) Frieler. LeRoy grew up on a farm near Greenwald and attended country school. After completing school, he worked on the farm. LeRoy served in the U.S. Army for three years. On November 18, 1967 he was united in marriage to Patricia Schaefer at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich and built a home in Lake Henry where they resided for 28 years. LeRoy worked for his uncle, Ray Loxtercamp, at Lake Henry Implement. Later, LeRoy and his brother Dick purchased the business and built a new shop, also named Lake Henry Implement. Together they owned and operated the business until 1995 when LeRoy sold his portion of the business to Dick. He and Pat then moved to their current home in Sauk Centre. LeRoy was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Lake Henry and the Lake Henry American Legion Post 612. He was also a charter member of the Lake Henry Lions Club and retired from the Lake Henry Fire Department. LeRoy enjoyed racing, bowling, golfing, hunting, fishing, and collecting Oliver tractors. He also loved socializing with friends and family and meeting new people.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Frieler of Sauk Centre; children, Tammy (Joe) Squires of Woodbury, Kurt Frieler of Lake Henry, Tracey (Rob) Thielen of Sauk Centre, Kelly (John) Coulter of Eden Valley, and Mike (Brandi) Frieler of Sauk Centre; 6 ½ grandchildren, Kayla Coulter, Joey Squires, Devin Thielen, Samantha Coulter, Leah Thielen, Johnathan Coulter, and Natalie Rose Frieler due in May; brothers and sisters, Jerry (Jane) Frieler, Richard (Gerri) Frieler, Andy Frieler, Joyce (Roger) Welle, Lois (Ken) Schaefer, Mary (Jim) Schaefer, Joe (Wanda) Frieler, Allen (Tammy) Frieler, and Chuck (Bonnie) Frieler; mother, Beata Frieler of Melrose; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his father, Paul Frieler; and brother, Mike Frieler.

Serving as casket bearers will be his brothers, Jerry Frieler, Richard Frieler, Andy Frieler, Joe Frieler, Allen Frieler, and Chuck Frieler. Cross bearer will be Kayla Coulter and honorary bearers will be Ken and Lois Schaefer, Steve and Judy Keller, Diane Feddema, Jack and Dorothy Kortan, Chris and Peggy Spanier, and members of the Lake Henry Lions Club, Lake Henry American Legion, and the Lake Henry Fire Department. Gift bearers will be Joey Squires, Devin Thielen, Leah Thielen, and Samantha Coulter.
