Leroy Frericks

LeRoy A. Frericks, age 52 of Melrose, died Monday December 17, 2007 in St. Cloud.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 21 at Patton- Schad Funeral Home in Melrose with Rev. Vince Lieser officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday evening.

LeRoy Frericks was born October 6, 1955 in Sauk Centre to Ambrose and Juletta (Eickhoff) Frericks. LeRoy graduated from Melrose High School in 1973. He was a self-employed farmer all of his life. While he was still farming, he went to work at Grede Foundries Inc. in St. Cloud in 2004. LeRoy enjoyed horseback riding, canoeing, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards, motorcycle riding, watching westerns, and spending time with friends.

Survivors include his children, Matt Frericks (Twyla) of Virginia, Julie Rausch (Jason) of Burtrum, and Beth Frericks of Melrose; two grandchildren; mother, Juletta Frericks of Sauk Centre; brother, Joe Frericks (Joyce) of Sauk Centre; sister, Arlene Bowman (Clay) of Sauk Centre; and former wife, Helen Frericks.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ambrose Frericks and brother, Anthony Frericks.

Serving as honorary casket bearers will be Al Nathe, Joe Frericks, Lawrence Hollenkamp, and Joel Middendorf.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
