Larry Huot

Larry W. Huot, age 69 of Sauk Centre, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 5 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Marty Porter will officiate with inurnment following in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.

Larry Huot was born September 29, 1939 in Fosston, Minnesota to Leo and Violet (Brenna) Huot. He grew up in Fosston and later moved to Minneapolis, where he did cement work with his dad and brother. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was a truck driver and welder, worked for Mel Schroeder as a welder in Minneapolis and was later self-employed as a welder. On September 19, 1987 he married Beverly Beilke at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre. The couple resided in the Minneapolis area until December, 1994 when they moved to Sauk Centre and remodeled an old country school house, where they lived. In July, 1998 they moved to town and since January, 2002 he had resided at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.Larry was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, shaking dice, and watching westerns, especially old television shows and John Wayne.

Survivors include his wife, Bev Huot of Sauk Centre; daughter, LaRae (Tom) Stout of Blaine; one granddaughter, Autumn; brothers, Jim (Lois) Huot of Spring Lake Park and Al (Laurie) Huot of Zimmerman; sisters, Dianne (Larry) Scamp in Arizona and Annette (Tony) Ortiz of Hudson, Wisconsin; many aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis Huot; and sister, Donna Huot.
