Kristine Hansen

Kristine A. Hansen, age 76, of Sauk Centre, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at her home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 17 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Marty Porter officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Sauk Centre. 

A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. 

Kristine Ann Karkhoff was born March 17, 1948, in Princeton, Minnesota to Gerald and Dorothy (Stuefen) Karkhoff. On September 14, 1991 she married Eugene Hansen at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Osakis. Kristine worked at Ken Mart and HEI in Sauk Centre. She enjoyed fishing on Sauk Lake and quilting.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre.

Survivors include her daughters, Lori Hinnenkamp of Alexandria, Amy (Eugene) Woida of Sauk Centre, and Staci (Brian) Loxtercamp of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Quinton Smith, Roshonna Landon, Dale Forrest Jr., and Matthew Schmid; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Addison Smith and Xander and Ruby Forrest; and brothers, Kevin Karkhoff of Alexandria and Michael (Judy) Karkhoff of Dallas, Texas.

Kristine was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hansen on August 31, 2012; and her parents, Gerald and Dorothy Karkhoff

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
