Kathryn M. Frank, age 93, of Northfield, formerly of Minneapolis and Sauk Centre, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Northfield Hospital Long Term Care Center in Northfield, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 5 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Todd Schneider will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Kathryn Frank was born July 11, 1916 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, beloved daughter of Stephen and Gertrude (Keppers) Schwartzbauer. She was raised in Sauk Centre and later graduated from nursing school at the St. Cloud Hospital. In September of 1938 she married Joseph Frank in St. Cloud. The couple resided in Minneapolis where she was a nurse at the Swedish Hospital and Walker Methodist Home. She retired in the mid-1960's. She married Clarence Arneson in 1994. Since 1997 she had resided in Northfield and since 2004 had been a resident of Northfield Hospital Long Term Care Center. She was a former member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Survivors include four children, JoAnn Braun of Edina, Tom (Karen) Frank of Northfield, Stephen (Janet) Frank of Spicer, and Greg Frank of Dundas; eleven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joseph Frank in 1987 and Clarence Arneson in 2001; and sister, Marie Schwartzbauer.
Serving as casket bearers will be her grandsons Stephen, Todd, Eric, and Joseph Frank, Tim and Ben Braun.
